Chocolate lovers unite ! Ultimate chocolate cookies. Again as with many of my cookie recipes, I made these for Christmas plates I give. I look and look for a new cookie recipe to make every year!

Ingredients For chewy brownie cookies

  • 2/3 c
    crisco
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/3 c
    unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    or more of walnuts i use, not part of original ingred.

How To Make chewy brownie cookies

    Heat oven to 375 degrees Combine Crisco, sugar, water and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed til blended.

    At low speed beat in eggs, add flour, cocoa, salt and Baking soda. Stir in choc. chips and drop by Tablespoons onto un-greased cookie sheet. Bake 7-9 min. (should be moist looking) Makes 3 dozen
