Ingredients For cherry winks cookies

  • 3/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 c
    chopped dates or raisins
  • 3 c
    cornflakes
  • 15-30
    maraschino cherries, halved or quartered, blotted dry

How To Make cherry winks cookies

  • 1
    Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs. Stir dry ingredients together and add along with nuts and dates. Mix well. Shape into small balls..

    Crush cornflakes into crumbs. Roll balls into crumbs. Place on greased baking sheet. Top with cherry.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
