How To Make cherries in the snow cookies
-
1Cream the butter and powdered sugar together until fluffy. Add the half & half and vanilla. Beat until blended.
-
2Whisk the flour and salt together in another bowl and then gradually mix into the creamed mixture. After all of the flour and salt has been mixed in, divide the dough into even quarters.
-
3Roll each quarter into a log shape and then cut each log into 6 even pieces. Roll the pieces into balls.
-
4Roll the pieces into balls. Flatten each ball and wrapped around a cherry.
-
5Roll back into a ball shape and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
-
6Bake at 350°F for approximately 18 minutes or until the bottom edge is just beginning to brown. Remove from the oven, allow them to cool for about 5 minutes on the cookie sheet and then roll them in powdered sugar to coat evenly. Place on a wire rack to cool.
-
7Glaze: After the cookies are cooled combine all the ingredients for the glaze and stir with a fork until smooth.
-
8Place the glaze in a small bag, clip one corner of the bag, and then drizzle the glaze over the cookies. If you want thinner glaze...add some half & half till desired consistency.
