I don't think I have ever met a kid that didn't like cookies (not many adults, either). This recipe, although old ( I remember eating these as a kid) is very popular with my kids and grand kids, too.

Ingredients For cheesey morsels

1 cbutterscotch chips

3 Tbspbutter, not margarine

1 cgraham cracker crumbs

1 cchopped nuts

8 ozcream cheese

1/4 csugar
-
2eggs
-
2 Tbspflour
-
2 Tbsplemon juice
How To Make cheesey morsels

1Combine and melt butterscotch morsels and butter. Stir in graham cracker crumbs and chopped nuts. Blend well. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture. Press remaining mixture into an ungreased 11”x7” pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for about 10 minutes.

2Meanwhile in a medium bowl,combine cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs, flour and lemon juice. Beat until smooth and lump free.

3Spread evenly onto hot crust ( the one you just retrieved from the oven). Sprinkle with reserved graham cracker crumb mixture. Bake at 350F for another 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

4Cool. Cut into squares. Store any leftover cookies in the refrigerator.
