Ingredients For cassarole cookies

  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped dates
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    confectionary sugar
  • 1/2 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1 jar
    maraschino cherries

How To Make cassarole cookies

    Preheat oven to 350
  • 2
    Butter a cassarole dish
  • 3
    Mix egg and sugar in the cassarole dish
  • 4
    Add remaining ingredients until well combined
  • 5
    Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes
  • 6
    Allow Cookie mixture to cool Slice cherries in half and place on paper towels to drain and dry.

    Butter your hands and form walnut size balls. Roll in confectionary sugar and top with 1/2 cherry. Allow to air dry for 6 hours.. store in air tight container. Do not let them touch
