These are great for the holidays. Cranberry and orange are one of my favorite flavor combos.

Ingredients For cape cod cranberry cookies

1/2 cbutter or margarine

1 1/3 cbrown sugar

1egg, beaten
-
1 tspvanilla

1/2 csour cream
-
2 1/2 call-purpose flour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspnutmeg
-
1 cchopped pecans
-
1 1/4 cchopped cranberries
- ORANGE GLAZE(OPTIONAL):

2 Tbsporange juice
-
2/3 cpowdered sugar
-
1 tspgrated orange rind
How To Make cape cod cranberry cookies

1Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add sour cream.

2Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and nutmeg in a separate bowl. Stir into the wet mixture until well blended. Add the pecans and cranberries.

3Drop tablespoon-sized mounds on a greased cookie sheet. Make sure they are spaced 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool for a few minutes on baking sheet.

4Remove cookies and transfer to a rack to completely cool. Ice cookies with the orange glaze if you wish. Store in a tin.
