No idea where my mother in law got this recipe, but since I love anything peppermint, had to get it! Haven't tried it yet, so if you do before I do, let me know how good it is!

Ingredients For candy cane crinkles, sandy

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    butter, room temp
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt (i would omit as i don't add salt to anything i bake)
  • 1/2 tsp
    powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    soda
  • 3 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    vanilla chips
  • 2/3 c
    crushed candy canes (use brach's peppermints instead)
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar

How To Make candy cane crinkles, sandy

  • 1
    Oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, scrape down bowl.

    Add salt (if using), powder, soda, flour, chips and crushed brach's, powder too. Put powdered sugar on a plate. Take 1 T dough, roll into a ball, roll in powdered sugar. Coat all well.

    Put on parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake 9-11 min. Bottoms should be very lightly browned, tops look like matte finish.
