These cookies are very delicious. It has all my favorite flavors, butterscotch and walnuts, along with just a small bit of vanilla extract...LOVE 'EM.

Ingredients For butterscotch-walnut cookies

1 2/3 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspcream of tartar

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 cpacked brown sugar

1 lgegg

1 tspmilk or water

1/2 tspvanilla

1/2 cfinely chopped walnuts

1 cbutterscotch morsels
How To Make butterscotch-walnut cookies

1Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.

2Beat butter in a mixer bowl with electric mixer until softened. Add brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk or water and vanilla; beat well. Add the flour mixture; beat until well combined. Stir in nuts and butterscotch morsels.

3Shape into 2 (8 inch) logs. Wrap and chill for several hours or freeze for 1 hour. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
