Ingredients For butterscotch cookies

2 cbrown sugar

3 lgeggs

1 cshortening or lard ( i use butter flavor crisco)

4 cflour, unbleached

1 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspcream of tarter

1 cwalnuts, chopped
How To Make butterscotch cookies

1Mix all ingredients except for the nuts thoroughly by mixer. Stir in the nuts by hand

2Roll the dough into ropes about 2 inches thick Cut in thin slices. Cross press with a fork to make a design if desired.

3Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes
