My husband loves butterscotch and I love chocolate chips so I put them together in this recipe and they came out great.

Ingredients For butterscotch chocolate chip cookies

  • 2 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    butter or margerine
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts (optional)

How To Make butterscotch chocolate chip cookies

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    In a mixing bowl cream butter, oil, sugars and molasses. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda and add to creamed mixture and stir til combined. Add chocolate chips and butterscotch chips and optional nuts. Stir til combined.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and cool. Enjoy!
