Ingredients For brown sugar cookies
- CREAM

1/2 csugar

1 cbutter/margarine
-
1/2 cbrown sugar
- ADD

1egg
-
1 tspvanilla
- MIX

2 cflour
-
1/2 tspsoda

1 tspsalt
- ADD FLOUR MIXTURE TO ABOVE, THEN ADD

1/2 cfinely chopped nuts
How To Make brown sugar cookies

1Chill for 20 minutes.

2Form balls size of quarters. Roll balls in sugar.

3Press flat on ungreased baking sheet.

4Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees

5I dip fork in cold water to flatten the cookies and that makes them real pretty.

6Optional Icing: If you are going to frost, do not roll balls in sugar. Boil: 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup cream or canned milk for 4 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and spread on cookies.
