Needs a large quantity of cookies? These are buttery and loaded with chocolate! Please use blocks of chocolate and chop rather than choc chips. I use a third white chocolate, a third milk and a third dark. This is an old and trusted recipe - enjoy!! NOTE- As chocolate is features in this so heavily, it needs to be of good quality. No cooking chocolate please. Recipe is care of a dear friend, who's a professional caterer.

Ingredients For betty's 2.5 pounds of chocolate! chunk cookies

  • 500 butter , 1 pound
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 5 cups self raising flour
  • 1.2 kilos (2.5 pounds) chocolate, chopped into chunks

How To Make betty's 2.5 pounds of chocolate! chunk cookies

    In pre-heat oven to 160oC (320oF) and line trays with baking paper.

    In a LARGE bowl, beat the wet ingredients together until creamy and smooth.

    Fold in the flour and chocolate. Using a dessert spoon, place mounds on the prepared baking trays. They won't spread too much.

    Bake for 10 minutes, cool on trays and store once cold.
