We make these cookies on cold winter days and enjoy them on snowy afternoons with a tall glass of milk.

  • 1 stick
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 c
    chopped peanuts

How To Make best peanut butter cookies

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    In a large mixing bowl cream the butter and sugars together until smooth. Beat in the egg and peanut butter and continue to beat until combined.

    In a separate bowl, sift the flour, salt and baking soda together. Add the peanut butter mixture and stir just until combined. Stir in chopped nuts.

    Drop round teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet and depress the balls lightly with the prongs of a fork. Bake for 8-10 minutes until just cooked through.

    Allow to cool 5 minutes on the baking sheet then transfer to a cooking rack to cool completely.
