My aunt gave me this recipe to me when I first started to cook/bake. This is my "go to" cookie recipe because you can make so many different cookies from the same batch of cookie dough and because it's so good.

Ingredients For basic one dough, many cookies!

1 cbutter ( i use butter flavor crisco)

3/4 cgranulated sugar

3/4 clight brown sugar

1 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

2eggs

2 1/4 call purpose flour

1/2 tspwater (i use x-large eggs so don't need this)

1 tspvanilla
- OPTIONAL: CHOCOLATE CHIPS, COCONUT, NUTS, PEANUT BUTTER, ETC.
How To Make basic one dough, many cookies!

1Cream butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.

2Add remaining dry ingredients. Don't over mix. At this point I divide the dough into smaller bowls and add ingredients from the optional list. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

3Drop by spoonfuls or a cookie dropper onto parchment paper or pan sprayed with PAM. Flatten slightly. Bake 375 degrees 9 to 11 minutes.
