1 c(2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temp.

1/2 cdark brown sugar (packed)

How To Make basic cookie dough

1Preheat oven to 350. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Combine butter, sugar, and brown sugar in seperate bowl, and beat with a mixer until well combines. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

2Gradually add flour mixture and beat until evenly blended. Dough can be wrapped in plastic wrap and refrigerated up to 3 days.
