Ingredients For appledoodle cookies

  • 2 2/3 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    butter/margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs, beaten slightly
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    shredded, raw apple
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar-to roll balls in
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon-to roll balls in

How To Make appledoodle cookies

  • 1
    Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, 1/2 t. cinnamon and 1/2 t. nutmeg. In a separate bowl cream together butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine flour mixture and sugar mixture and blend well, then add apple. In a small bowl mix the 2 T of sugar and 1 t of cinnamon to roll the dough in. Shape dough into balls and roll each in the cinnamon sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool on a rack. Enjoy.
