2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 1/2 tspanise extract or 1 teas. anise seeds

1 tsplemon extract -not lemon juice

1 tspvanilla extract

3 Tbsphoney

3 1/4 cflour

2 tspbaking soda

2 tspcream or tartar
How To Make anise snaps

1Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, anise,lemon and vanilla extract, and honey beat well. Combine flour, soda and cream of tartar and blend into mixture. Chill dough about 30 minutes for easy handling. Shape into balls; using rounded teaspoonful for each. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350^ oven for 8-10 minutes or until just golden brown.
