1/2 ccrisco

3 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

4 lgeggs

3 cquick oats

2 tspvanilla

1 tspbaking soda

1 1/2 tspfreshly grated nutmeg
- FILLING

3egg whites

2 tspvanilla

4 cpowdered sugar

1 1/2 ccrisco

5 Tbspflour

4 Tbspmilk
How To Make amish "little debbie" oatmeal creme cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees Cookies Cream together sugar with the butter and crisco. Add eggs beating well, add vanilla and dry ingredients and beat together. Bake for 9-12 minutes until done but soft.

2Filling Beat egg whites (reserving yolks for another recipe) then once fluffy add vanilla and milk. Beat in powdered sugar, crisco and flour. Beat until light and frosting like. Once cookies are cool frost one and sandwich with another one.
