- PASTRY:

1 cplus 2 tbsp. all purpose flour

1/2 cbutter, softened

3 ozcream cheese, softened
- FILLING:

1 cbrown sugar

3/4 cfinely chopped walnuts

2-1/2 Tbspmelted butter

1egg, beaten
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1/4 tspsalt
How To Make amish keufels

1In a large bowl, mix flour, butter, and cream cheese together, using a fork.

2Form dough into 24 small balls. Press and shape each ball into a shell in greased muffin cups.

3Mix brown sugar, nuts, butter, egg, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Spoon mixture into the prepared shells.

4Bake in a preheated 350º oven until keufels are lightly browned and filling is bubbling, about 20 minutes.
