I orginally saw this recipe in a local newspaper. I've tweeked it to meet my taste bud needs. The cookies are so good. They disappear within minutes. My neighbors and friends love it when they smell these baking:)

1 lbsliced almonds

2 csugar

1/4 tspsea salt

1/4 tspalmond extract

1/4 tspvanilla

3egg whites
How To Make almond macaroon's - connie style

1Heat the oven to 300 degrees.

2Finely grind almonds, sugar and salt in a food processor.

3Add the vanilla; pulse to mix.

4In another bowl, beat egg whites to soft peaks.

5Add beaten egg whites to food processor; pulse 4-5 times. The mixture should form a grainy batter.

6Wet your hands(this keeps the dought from sticking).

7Roll teaspoon of dough between your palms to make into a ball.

8Place on greased baking sheets 2-3 inches apart. Bake twenty-five minutes until golden brown. I rotate the sheets half-way through.

9Cool on wire racks
