3-ingredient sugar cookies

This past Christmas, I had baked a variety of 3-Ingredient cookie recipes. Especially since I had the time and these petite-size cookies were quite delicious!

Ingredients For 3-ingredient sugar cookies

  • 1-1/2 c
    butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3 c
    all-purpose flour

How To Make 3-ingredient sugar cookies

    Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper. Then set baking sheets aside.

    Preheat oven to 325°F. (Yes, I said 325°F.)

    In a large mixing bowl, add the softened butter and granulated sugar. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy; 3 to 5 minutes.

    Gradually beat in the flour until well combined.

    Shape cookie bough into 1-inch round balls, then place them (about 1-1/2-inches apart), on parchment-lined baking sheets.

    I then "slightly flatten" the cookie dough with the palm of my hand, and sprinkle with a few Baker's Corner Holiday Sprinkles, which I then lightly press them into the cookie dough. (I am referring to the yellow star shaped candies.)

    I repeated this process with the remaining cookie dough, then placed several yellow star shape candy sprinkles on top, then lightly pressed them into the cookie dough. As seen in the photo I had displayed.

    Bake in oven for about 15 minutes. The bottom of the cookies will be a light golden brown. Then place cookies on a wire rack to cool completely.

    I then place the cookies in a well-sealed container to store in the freezer. Then I'll just remove a few cookies at a time, prior to serving.
