This recipe I just kinda opened the fridge and pantry and threw it all in a blender, taking the things I love in the morning... oatmeal, fruit and coffee!

1/4 cprepared quick oats

1 clow fat milk

1/2 clow fat plain yogurt

1scoup vanilla protein powder (25 g. protein in 1 scoup)

1 mdfrozen banana, in chunks

1/4 tspvanilla extract

1 Tbspbenefiber (optional)

1 Tbspwheat germ

1 Tbspflax seeds

1/2 pkg(single) instant coffee your choice

1/2 pkg(single) instant coffee, vanilla flavor

1 pkgsplenda packet

1dash cinnamon

1 dashnutmeg (optional)

5ice cubes (optional)
How To Make vanilla banana and coffee breakfast power smoothie

1Combine oatmeal, milk, yogurt, and protein powder in blender. Give it a quick 2 pulses in the blender. Add banana chunks, vanilla extract, benefiber (optional), wheat germ, flax, instant coffee, splenda and cinnamon. Blend until smooth. If you would like, you can pulse in 4-5 ice cubes, or pour over ice to keep cold and for consistency. Sprinkle a dash of nutmeg on top as an option.

2Note: I use APC whey protein powder in chocolate that contains 25g protein in 1 scoup and low in sugar. Use what you like or what you have on hand. If you prefer to NOT use a protein powder, you can sub with Carnation Instant Breakfast or Ovaltine.
