This is the frosting to use on the sauerkraut cake. Please make sure you use this frosting because it makes the cake. I do hope you enjoy the combination.

Ingredients For sour cream chocolate frosting

  • 6 oz
    semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 c
    confectioners' sugar [you may need up to 2 3/4 cups til you get right consistency.]

How To Make sour cream chocolate frosting

  • 1
    Melt chocolate and butter. Blend in sour cream, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add confectioners sugar until frosting is of spreading consistency. Beat well.
