microwave s'mores
(2 ratings)
I love s'mores with the marshmallows toasted over a campfire, but I needed to make them for a classroom treat. I'm posting this recipe to remind myself how I did it. They turned out REALLY well, but I didn't need FIVE boxes of graham crackers for 52 students! One and one-half boxes was more than enough. I also used about one and one-half bags of small Hershey bars and less than one bag of marshmallows. Delicious! =^..^=

-
1small hershey bar, broken in two
-
1large marshmallow
How To Make microwave s'mores
-
1Set out graham crackers, chocolate bars, and marshmallows.
-
2Place the chocolate side-by-side on top of 1 square of graham cracker on a microwave-safe plate or napkin.
-
3Place a large marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
-
4Put the treat into the microwave and set timer for 15 seconds. NOTE: my new microwave only takes 10 seconds!
-
5Watch closely. When the marshmallow puffs up, the s'more is done. (If the marshmallow falls sideways, you need to quickly place it back in the center of the graham cracker using the top cracker piece.)
-
6Put the top cracker on top of the puffed marshmallow and press slightly.

7Another great idea: Seasonal S'Mores Kits using Peeps Marshmallow Shapes. Here are ones that I gave my students for Halloween. =^..^=
