Ingredients For homemade hot fudge sauce

  • 1 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1/4 c
    butter, cold
  • 2 3/4 c
    milk chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch
    sea salt
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How To Make homemade hot fudge sauce

    In a medium sauce pan, bring the cream just to a boil. Add the sugar and blend until melted.

    Add the butter a little at a time until melted, then add the chips. Let them soften before folding into the mixture.

    Stir in salt and vanilla until well blended. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

    Sauce will thicken as it cools. Tip: You can sub 1/4 tsp peppermint extract for the vanilla to make mint flavored sauce; 1/2 tsp raspberry or strawberry extract for fruit flavored sauces.
