We have used this recipe for a long time...It's better then box mix you get at the store and cheeper. Its easy and quick to make. So pour yourself a nice glass of cold milk and enjoy.

Ingredients For homemade browines

  • 1/2 c
    butter, or 1 stick of butter (at room temp)
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    chocolate frosting (homemade recipe down below)

How To Make homemade browines

    Pre heat oven 350 Grease a 9in baking pan

    Butter, sugar, vanilla - make sure butter is at room temp (not melted) mix well. Eggs- beat eggs and add to the butter sugar mix and blend well

    Flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder- blend well, slowly fold in egg mix until you have a good blended batter

    Pour in greased pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 min. Check with tooth pick in the middle. Its done if it comes out clean if not bake for another 3-5 mins. Let it completely cool down and add chocolate frosting on top

    Home made chocolate frosting 3 T butter- room temp 3 T cocoa powder 1 T honey- or corn syrup 1/2 t vanilla extract 1 C powder sugar 1-2 T milk Mix butter,cocoa, honey, and vanilla well Add 1/2 C of powder sugar and 1 T of milk mix well Then add the other 1/2 of powder sugar - depending on how thick you like your frosting you can add the other tablespoon full of milk if want or not. Then spread on top of brownies after the completely cool.
