grammy's chocolate mint bars

These were a staple at almost every Sunday dinner at my Grammy's house when I was younger. Every time I bake them, the aroma takes me back to a wonderful place :)

Ingredients For grammy's chocolate mint bars

1 csugar

1 cflour
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 cbutter
-
4beaten eggs
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1 can16 oz hershey syrup
- MINT MIX

2 cconfectioner's sugar

1/2 cbutter
-
2 Tbspcreme de menthe liquor (the green variety is more fun )
- FOR GLAZE

6 ozchocolate chips (milk or semi sweet)

6 Tbspbutter
How To Make grammy's chocolate mint bars

1Mix cake batter and pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake for at 350 for 25-30 min. (cake will fall to brownie ht)Cool in pan

2Mix ingredients for for mint mix and spread on cooled cake. Refrigerate cake for approx 1 hr

3For Glaze: melt chocolate and butter together. Refrigerate until cool, but spreadable. Spread over mint mixture on cake. Refrigerate overnight before cutting into small squares
