glazed mint-frosted brownies

I've been looking for this recipe. It is one of my favorite brownie recipes. The brownies are frosted with a mint frosting and then another layer of unsweetened chocolate goes on top that hardens. The sweetness and the bitterness make a very interesting combination.

Ingredients For glazed mint-frosted brownies

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup flour

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs
-
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled

mint frosting (recipe follows)

chocolate glaze (recipe follows)
- MINT FROSTING
-
1 cup confectioner's sugar

2 tbs butter
-
1 tbs milk
-
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- CHOCOLATE GLAZE

2 tbs butter
-
2 sqares unsweetened chocolate
How To Make glazed mint-frosted brownies

1Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, eggs, and 2 squares of melted chocolate together.

2Stir in nuts and flour.

3Spread in 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

4Cool.

5Prepare mint frosting by mixing 1 cup of confectioner's sugar, 2 tbs softened butter, 1 tbs milk, and the peppermint extract.

6When brownies are completely cool, spread on the mint frosting. Let stand until set

7For the chocolate glaze, melt 2 tbs butter. Add 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate and stir until all is melted. Pour the chocolate glaze over the brownies and chill until firm.

8Bring to room temperature and cut.
