My friend and I had a "bake day" and this was another of the recipes we tried from the "Flour Me With Love" website. It is very dense and full of chocolate goodness, and oh-so-easy to make!

Ingredients For double chocolate toffee bread

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    cocoa (i used a dark cocoa)
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    toffee bits
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    toffee bits

How To Make double chocolate toffee bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 in. bread pan.

    Cream the sugar, butter, sour cream & vanilla together. Mix in the eggs.

    Add the cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt & flour.
  • 4
    Stir in the chocolate chips & toffee bits, and then pour into the greased pan. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips & toffee bits on top.

    Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 50-55 min. Let it cool for a few minutes and then remove from pan. Enjoy!!
