Great for Christmas or St. Patrick's day with the creme de menthe green layer

Ingredients For creme de menthe squares

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 can
    chocolate syrup - 1 lb can
  • 2 c
    confectioner sugar
  • 6 oz
    chocolate morsels
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter - to melt chips

How To Make creme de menthe squares

  • 1
    Combine first 3 ingredients in mixing bowl. Add flour, salt, vanilla, syrup. Beat well. Pour into ungreased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cool

    Combine ingredients for second layer. Beat well, Spread over cooled cake layer. Refrigerate till firm
  • 3
    Melt chocolate chips and 6 T butter in microwave. Pour over second layer. Refrigerate to cool. Cut in small squares, very rich but delicious
