These are similar to those Mounds bars you loved so much as a kid (and an adult!) This chewy brownie topped with coconut clusters will bring back memories, or start new ones. Source unknown

Ingredients For coconut cluster brownies

brownie base:

2 cups sugar

1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

4 large eggs, lightly beaten

1 1/2 cups flour

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

coconut cluster topping:

2 cups sweetened toasted coconut

1 cup half and half
-
1/4 cup superfine sugar
How To Make coconut cluster brownies

1Heat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 15 x 10 inch baking pan.

2For brownie base, in medium bowl with electric mixer, beat together sugar and butter til light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, blending well.

3Add flour and cocoa; mix well. Spread into prepared pan.

4For coconut cluster topping, mix ingredients in a small bowl. Spread over batter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or til cake tester or toothpick inserted near center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Topping will be golden. Cool pan completely on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
