Ingredients For chocolate mint brownies

  • 1 box
    brownie mix
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    peppermint extract
  • green food coloring
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 12 ounces bag
    chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate mint brownies

    Bake brownie mix in a 9x13 pan according to box instructions. Cool completely.

    Mix together 1/2 c. Room temperature butter, confectioners sugar, milk, and peppermint extract until smooth and creamy. Add in a drop or two of green food coloring until reaches desired color. Taste, add a few drops more of the mint extract if wanted.

    Spread smoothly on top of cooled brownies. Put in fridge for 15-20 minutes to set the frosting a little.

    Melt chocolate chips and 1/2 cup butter together in microwave for one minute, stir, continue microwaving stirring every 10 seconds or so until fully melted.

    Pour on top of frosted brownies, carefully spread chocolate until all frosting is covered. Refrigerate until set.
