My family makes this fudge every year at Christmas and everyone loves it.

Ingredients For chocolate fudge

  • 7 1/2 oz
    marshmallow fluff
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 5 oz
    evaporated milk
  • 3/4 tsp
    vanilla
  • 12 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts (optional)

How To Make chocolate fudge

    Grease a 9” square baking pan and set aside.

    In large saucepan combine the first 5 ingredients. Stir over low heat until blended.

    Increase heat to medium and bring to a rolling boil being careful not to mistake escaping air bubbles for boiling. Boil slowly stirring constantly 3.5-5 minutes to the soft ball stage.

    Remove from heat and stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips until they are melted. Stir in vanilla. Add nuts. Pour into greased pan and chill.
