While at work one evening I heard people commenting on this strange cheese ball someone had brought. Guess who? They loved it. If you're looking for savory this is not the one. But it sure is a great change when you want to serve a sweeter snack to any age. Kids especially like having a cheese ball they think is more for them.

Ingredients For chocolate chip cheese ball

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese; room temp
  • 1/2 c
    butter/margarine; room temp
  • 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    mini semi-sweet choc chips
  • 3/4 c
    finely chopped pecans

How To Make chocolate chip cheese ball

  • 1
    Beat room temp cream cheese and butter
  • 2
    Add both sugars and vanilla
  • 3
    Stir in chips. Cover and chill 2 hrs in refrigerator
  • 4
    Shape into a ball, wrap well in plastic wrap and chill at least another hour or until ready to serve

    Unwrap and roll in nuts before serving.

    serving suggestions: dip or spread on graham crackers or chocolate waffers
