3 Tbspall purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking powder

pregreased 8-inch square baking pan
How To Make chocolate bars (oven version)

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Measure flour and baking powder into a bowl.

3Add butter and, either with pastry blender or fingers, blend butter into flour mixture until consistency of cornmeal.

4Add powdered sugar and orange or lemon peel.

5Press mixture evenly onto bottom of a pre-greased 8-inch square baking pan.

6Prebake crust for about 7 minutes at 350 degrees F.

7Spread chocolate chips over hot crust.

8As soon a chips melt, spread chocolate evenly over crust. If chips don't melt quickly, put pan back in the oven for a few minutes.

9Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl.

10Mix thoroughly.

11Pour mixture over chocolate layer.

12Bake at 350 degrees F for about 25 minutes or until top is lightly browned.

13Cool.

14Dust with powdered sugar.

15Cut into even squares.
