This is one of my top-10 favorite chocolate desserts that comes from my #1 cookbook, Creme de Colorado Cookbook. Nothing I've ever made from this book has turned out less than amazing, especially the desserts! We add the Amarula because my husband is South African, and he got my entire family hooked on the stuff! Tastes a bit like Bailey's Irish Cream.

Ingredients For chocolate amarula pots de crème

  • 1 c
    whole milk, heated to boiling point
  • 1 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    rum or favorite liqueur

How To Make chocolate amarula pots de crème

    Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender. Blend on high until chocolate chips are melted and smooth.

    Pour into 6 ramekins.

    Chill until firm, about 2 hours.

    Garnish with fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings if desired.
