I used to make these alot, kinda of addictive really. Make sure you store them in a tight container as they will harden up from the brown sugar. Hope you enjoy them.

Ingredients For blonde brownies

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2/3 c
    margarine or butter
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips (6 oz) ` 1 cup

How To Make blonde brownies

  • 1
    Melt shortening, add sugar and cool.
  • 2
    Add eggs and vanilla.
  • 3
    Sift and add dry ingredients, stir in nuts.
  • 4
    Turn into well greased 13" x 9" pan and sprinkle on chocolate chips.

    Bake 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Do not overbake as they are better fudgie.
