I like that this recipe because its simple and I love chocolate and almond and serve this with coffee. I do not add the cherries by the way.

Ingredients For black forest mousse

  • 1 oz
    square unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 can
    eagle brand® sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c
    cold water
  • 1 sm box
    package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 c
    heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 can
    cherry pie filling, chilled
  • 1/4 tsp
    almond extract (for cherry pie filling)

How To Make black forest mousse

  • 1
    • COMBINE chocolate with sweetened condensed milk in large bowl. Beat in water, pudding mix and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Freeze 5 minutes.

    • FOLD in whipped cream. Spoon equal portions into dessert dishes.
  • 3
    • STIR remaining 1/4 teaspoon almond extract into cherry pie filling; spoon over desserts. Garnish as desired.
