My granddaughter loves to help make these. You can roll the apples in sprinkles or small candies, like mini-m & m's.

Ingredients For twice-dipped candy apples

6 mdgranny smith apples

66" wooden craft sticks

50werther's original chewy caramels.

2 Tbspwater or light cream. i use light cream

1small bag semisweet chocolate chips

orange and green candy sprinkles
How To Make twice-dipped candy apples

1Line a baking sheet w/ non-stick foil, or spray foil w/ cooking spray. Wash,& dry apples. Remove stems from apples. Insert a craft stick into each apple.

2Place caramels and cream in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2-2/12 mins, stirring every minute until caramels are melted and smooth.Holding apples by the stick, dip and swirl in caramel. Gently scrape bottoms to remove excess.

3Chill in refrigerator for 15 mins. While apples chill, microwave chocolate chips until melted. Stir until smooth. Dip a chilled apple into chocolate, then roll into sprinkles or mini candies. Refrigerate another 15 mins to set.
