Ingredients For sugared cranberries

3 cgranulated sugar

2 mdcinnamon sticks

6whole cloves

3 cfresh cranberries, rinsed

1 csuperfine sugar
How To Make sugared cranberries

1Mix together the first four (4) ingredients. Bring to a boil, over medium heat. Simmer for 1 minute, stirring until sugar dissolves.

2Remove from heat and pour into a bowl. Stir in cranberries, cover and refrigerate for 8 hours. Drain cranberries, reserving liquid.Strain liquid into bowl. See note.

3Place sugar in a bowl and gently toss cranberries , coating well and evenly. Place on a large tray or cookie sheet to dry; about 1 to 2 hour air dry. Store in an airtight container or package for gift giving. Use within 3 or 4 days.

4Note: Use: Strain out cinnamon sticks and cloves and use liquid as a simple syrup in cocktails, cakes, breads, pies muffins,cupcake decoration or in dips.
