I am generally an organic very healthy cook, however, I believe in moderation in every area of life....usually never use high fructose corn syrup....but for certain lil treats I make exceptions....hope ya'all enjoy...

Ingredients For rach's chewy caramels

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1-16oz pkg
    brown sugar
  • 1-14oz can
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c
    light corn syrup

How To Make rach's chewy caramels

    Line a 8" pan with foil allowing plenty to hang over edges...coat with cooking spray..set aside

    Melt butter in sauce-pan over low heat...stir in brown sugar, condensed milk, and corn syrup...stir well. Bring to a boil stir often until it reaches 235 degrees on candy thermometer...remove from hean and stir for 1 minute, until smooth...quickly pour into prepared pan. Let satnd 3 hours. Lift out of pan cut into 60 pieces with a buttered sharp knife. Wrap into individual pieces of waxed paper or plastic wrap.
