Another orphan I've adopted...will be going over the recipe & trying it so I can post a picture... Looks easy enough, but I have an idea to kick it up a notch...watch for it!!!

Ingredients For pecan turtle bars

1.5 call purpose flour

1.5 cbrown sugar, packed, divided

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 cpecan halves
-
2/3 cbutter
-
1 cmilk chocolate pieces
How To Make pecan turtle bars

1Combine flour, 1 cup brown sugar and softened butter in large mixer bowl.

2Beat at medium speed of electric mixer 2-3 minutes or until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

3Pat mixture evenly onto bottom of ungreased 13x9\" baking pan.

4Sprinkle pecans evenly over crumb mixture.

5Combine 2/3 cup butter and remaining 1/2 brown sugar in small saucepan.

6Cook and stir over medium heat until entire surface is bubbly.

7Cook and stir 1/2 to 1 minute more.

8Pour into pan, spreading evenly over crust.

9Bake in 350 degree oven 18-20 minutes or until entire surface is bubbly.

10Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle with chocolate pieces.

11Let stand 2-3 minutes to allow chocolate to melt; use knife to swirl chocolate slightly.

12Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

13Use sharp knife to cut into 48 bars.
