Another one of the candies I've always made @ Christmas & put in gift boxes. Very close to the original. If you cover it with chocolate, it becomes a Baby Ruth.

Ingredients For payday's (my version)

  • 3 c
    salted peanuts, without skins divided
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 2 c
    (12 oz.) peanut butter chips
  • 1 can
    (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 c
    miniature marshmallows

How To Make payday's (my version)

    PLACE HALF OF THE PEANUTS IN AN UNGREASED 11X7X2 IN. BAKING PAN; SET ASIDE.

    IN A SAUCEPAN, MELT BUTTER & PEANUT BUTTER CHIPS OVER LOW HEAT. ADD MILK & MARSHMALLOWS; COOK & STIR UNTIL MELTED.

    POUR OVER PEANUTS. SPRINKLE THE REMAINING PEANUTS ON TOP. COVER & REFRIGERATE. CUT INTO BARS.
