Ingredients For maple-nut-pumpkin candies

  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    maples syrup
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    solid packed pumpkin
  • 1/2 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    walnuts, toasted and chopped

How To Make maple-nut-pumpkin candies

    Line an 8x8 inch metal pan with parchment paper. Spray paper with non-stick cooking spray.

    In a medium pot, combine sugars, maple syrup,butter, pumpkin, cream and pumpkin spice over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and all ingredients are combined. Bring to a simmer and cook 12 minutes or until temperature reaches 238 degrees on a candy thermometer. Stir in walnuts.

    Pour mixture into lined pan. Cool 1 hour on the counter. Cool an additional 1 hr in fridge. Slice into 36 squares.
