  • 2 3/4 c
    white sugar
  • 3/4 c
    karo syrup (light)
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • flavoring

How To Make jd's rock candy

    COMBINE ALL INGREDS. EXCEPT FLAVORING IN LG PAN. LET MIXTURE COME TO ROLLING BOIL (USING CANDY THERMOMETER--300 DEGREES)ON MED HIGH HEAT.

    TAKE OFF HEAT, POUR IN FLAVORING

    POUR ONTO GREASED COOKIE SHEET USING A KNIFE OR SOMETHING THAT IS HARD--CRACK THE CANDY INTO PIECES. (DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF PIECES YOU DESIRE) ENJOY

    YOU CAN USE SEVERAL DIFFERENT FLAVORINGS DEPENDING ON WHAT FLAVORS YOU LIKE. I HAVE USED: CINNAMON-1TSP. PEPPERMINT-3TSP. CHERRY-3TSP. ORANGE-2TSP. YOU CAN ALSO PUT IN FOOD COLORING TO MAKE IT WHATEVER COLOR YOU WANT.
