I got this recipe in 1986 from a friend. It uses very few ingredients and is so easy to make. Be very careful the edges of the candy are very sharp. This a great candy for Christmas baskets.

Ingredients For hard candy

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp
    flavoring

How To Make hard candy

  • 1
    Mix sugar, water, and corn syrup in a saucepan, cook at 300 degrees. Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon of one of the following flavors: cinnamon, grape, cherry, stc. Then add food coloring. Put foil on a cookie sheet. Pour mixture on the cookie sheet and let cool. Drop cookie sheet to break candy.
