If you can't find "Clusters" cereal (made by General Mills), just substitute something similar that has small nut clusters in the cereal. These go well on a goody tray during the holidays.

Ingredients For chocolate nut drops

  • 1/3 c
    margarine
  • 6 oz
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 c
    miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    clusters breakfast cereal
  • 1 c
    coconut

How To Make chocolate nut drops

    Heat margarine, chocolate chips and marshmallows in a 3-qt. saucepan over lo heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

    Stir in vanilla.

    Stir in cereal and coconut.

    Drop by teaspoonsful onto waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.

    Refrigerate until firm.

    Remove from fridge 5 minutes before serving. Makes about 2-1/2 dozen candies.
