Ingredients For chocolate caramels

2 csugar

1 cbrown sugar

1/2 cbutter
-
2 cnuts, finely chopped

1 ccorn syrup

3unsweetened chocolate squares

1 ccream
-
1/4 tspsalt

1 Tbspvanilla extract
How To Make chocolate caramels

1Cut chocolate in small pieces.

2Add sugar, butter, salt, syrup and cream.

3Cover and boil 5 minutes.

4Uncover.

5Boil slowly, stirring constantly, to firm ball stage 248.

6Remove from fire.

7Add flavoring and stir until well blended.

8Pour quickly over nuts which have been placed in well-buttered pan.

9When cool cut in squares.
