caramels
(1 rating)
I love caramels and my mom had the best recipe, but it is a little labor intensive. A friend from high school posted this recipe on Facebook before Christmas and I decided to make it. It isn't quite my mom's, but almost and it is much easier to make. I received compliments from friends to whom I gave candy plates. Enjoy!

2Just a couple of tips.. Start timing the 12-15 minutes when it starts to boil. The firm ball stage is when you drop a spoonful into cold water and you can form it into a ball that doesn't flatten out.
