This recipe came from a family cookbook, but my grandma made it every Christmas to put in my daddy's Care Package. Easy and yummy. Can't eat just one. When my sister Becky started candy making this recipe was passed to her by my granny. I miss my granny, but whenever I make her recipes, she's there to guide me. The cookbook credits my Aunt Louise Webb, one of the best cooks I know.

Ingredients For blameless candy

  • 1 c
    white karo syrup
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1-16 oz jar
    peanut butter, crunchy
  • 6 c
    corn flakes

How To Make blameless candy

  • 1
    Mix Karo syrup and sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • 2
    Remove from heat and add peanut butter, stirring until peanut butter is melted.

    Add corn flakes, 1 cup at a time.
  • 4
    Butter palms of hands and roll spoonful of mixture into a ball. Buttering hands occasionally helps keep mixture from sticking.
